Who am I?

My name is John M Roescher III (the third). I was born in Houston, Texas in 1984 and grew up south of Austin. Now I'm in Austin and I love this city. I love to take pictures, play soccer, exercise, and be outside. I love my wife, Laura and my dog Charlie.

What do I do?

I'm very intrigued by art and technology. I've been creating graphic art and designing websites since 1998. I've never worked for an agency, firm, studio, whatever. I've never had any formal training. I've never claimed either of the two either. I love making websites and I love charging small companies, artists, etc way less than a company or a more experienced designer would. I like to do simple, clean, functional websites that serve the client's purpose and sell their image / brand.

How do I do it?

I am addicted to CSS and love to practice solid web standards (although I disagree with some of it).
For dynamic, database driven work, I prefer PHP, mySQL, and Javascript.
For graphics and illustrations I use Adobe Illustrator.
To make everything look nice I use Adobe Photoshop.
Dreamweaver helps me put everything together and stay organized.
My Sony Alpha 100 DSLR lets others see the world as I see it.
